Alfa Alfa Energy S.A. produces and distributes to the Greek market and abroad, under ESHA TM trademark, a wide range of bituminous,petroleum and other chemical products,for waterproofing,thermal insulation and protection of civil engineering works,as well as for application in road building works.

Founded in 1962 in Aspropyrgos Attica Greece,the company has significantly contributed for 50 years to setting the standards of waterproofing in civil engineering and road building projects. Alfa Alfa Energy S.A. has developped state-of-the-art industrial facilities for the production of waterproofing products.The industrial complex,along with the company’s warehouses and buildings are situated on a wholly owned 15,500 squarefeet landfield.

Our production range includes modified bituminous waterproofing membranes( SBS,APP,Oxidized,Self-Adhesive)with a production capacity of over 9,000,000 squarefeet per year,bituminous emulsions & solutions for protection and waterproofing,rubber-sealing materials,acrylic,epoxy,polyurethane and polysulphide products,elastomeric,plastomeric,and oxidized asphalt & modified bituminous products for road construction and bridge-deck insulation.

Alfa Alfa Energy S.A. also produces PU thermal insulation boards,through its subsidiary Vapotherm Ltd,situated on a wholly owned 5,000 squarefeet landfield in Elefsina of Attica Greece.

HISTORY

Founded in 1962 in Aspropyrgos Attica Greece,the company has significantly contributed for 50 years to setting the standards of waterproofing in civil engineering and road building projects.

  • 1962, Foundation of Esha Hellas S.A. by the Dutch company Smid and Hollander b.v.(Esha Holding B.V.)and Greek Entrepreneurs in Aspropyrgos Attica,Greece.
  • 1995, Esha Hellas S.A. is listed on the Athens Exchange Market.
  • 2001, Alfa Alfa Holdings Group (Greek owned company) acquires 42% of Esha Hellas S.A.
  • 2001, Esha Hellas SA acquires 50% of Esha B.V. Foundation of ESHA Bulgaria Ltd. as a subsidiary of Esha Hellas S.A.
  • 2002, Esha Hellas S.A. acquires 100% of the Dutch Esha Holding B.V. and is renamed to Alfa Alfa Energy SA, as a subsidiary of Alfa Alfa Holdings Group.
  • 2004, Dutch Esha Holding B.V. is acquired by Icopal Group and seperates from Alfa Alfa Energy SA.Alfa Alfa Energy S.A. participates in all major waterproofing infrastructure projects for Olympic Games Athens 2004 , with ESHA trademark products.
  • 2008, New era for Alfa Alfa Energy SA. Dynamic entry in the Green Energy Waterproofing & Insulation Systems for Building & Road Building Projects.
  • 2010, Alfa Alfa Energy SA. is acquired by a Greek owned bank fund, designing and producing new products for today's changing world needs.

KNOWLEDGE & INNOVATION

Our Research & Development department is equipped with sophisticated quality control testing instruments and is managed by a highly experienced team of personally and professionally motivated employees.

Our particular focus the last years is the development of Green and Renewable energy insulation systems integrated in Civil Engineering structures (e.g. Green roof systems, Esha Photovoltaic Wateproofing membranes, Thermal Reflective undertile membranes, “cool Roof” materials, photo-catalytic and changing phase materials).
