Description

ESHASEALER 164 is an elastomeric, hot poured bituminous Sealant. It provides a permanently elastic jointing compound capable of accommodating a joint movement larger than 20%.

ESHASEALER 164 adheres strongly to porous as well as to smooth surfaces. It is composed of modified bitumen, elastomers, synthetic resins, plasticizer and fillers.

ESHASEALER 164 softens at approx. 140° C. It recovers its elastic properties when is subsequently brought to ambient temperature. It remains elastic within the temperature range of -20°C to 80°C. Repeated heating cycles may alter its properties.

ESHASEALER 164 does not shrink upon its application and is particularly durable to ageing.It has no effect on polyurethane foam, glass-wool etc. It is resistant to detergents, dilute acid, and alkali solutions. It is attacked by solvents and mineral oils, and attacks polystyrene.
